Sheetal’s volunteering efforts began in school through a tree plantation drive when she realized that happiness can to be found in helping others. During her college years, she worked with the NGO Enactus of the HR College, Akanksha Foundation, and the Citizen’s Association for Children Rights. Her tasks revolved around setting up business models for rural projects through critical thinking and village visits. She has also volunteered to promote washing hands with soap among children. As part of Enactus, she directed various projects helping revamp and start sustainable business relating to water portability and purification, employment and menstrual sanitation that impacted up to 2570 people. Sheetal also started an initiative ‘Inaayat’ in collaboration with Days for Girls strengthening woman’s sense of dignity by inculcating hygienic health practices through education and reusable menstruation kits. Now, as a passionate volunteer, she aims to lead Enactus to greater heights of social involvement. She feels the need to volunteer because it is in the service of others that she finds happiness.
