Partth Thakur is a fond animal lover, travel enthusiast and a passionate wordsmith from Vadodara and is currently pursuing MSc. at St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai. He is a thalassemia major patient and believes that each patient deserves his or her share of happiness. With the sudden death of his dog, he realized the uncertainty of life and was motivated to initiate ‘The Wishing Factory’ — to fulfill the wishes of thalassemia and leukemia patients. With his efforts and dedication, this organization has now fulfilled over 340 wishes that patients wished to have, along with supporting the healthcare and education for over 200 patients spread across India. Partth has also volunteered with ‘SAVE’ (an NGO working to promote importance of education and encouraging children to continue education) in his initial college years. He believes “life is uncertain and one can never know how the smallest action can create a huge difference in the lives of others”.
