Neha George, currently pursuing her BBA from Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies, has been volunteering for the past two years now. She is passionate about social work and believes that true happiness can only be attained by making others happy. Within a short span of working with Enactus, she was promoted to become the Vice President where she led Project ‘Slippers’ which employed cobblers to manufacture slippers and made it available to construction site workers at low rates, thus helping both communities. Neha also took part in Project ‘Punctured’ where underprivileged women were taught to make furniture from old tyres. As a campaign leader for ‘Teach for India’, she created a pool of young leaders to come together to fight the educational inequity in India and to work towards creating quality for all the children in India so that they can have a better future. Not only this, Neha has worked for the ‘Climate Reality’ project and has volunteered for World Environment Day (UN). She was selected as a Child Rights Leader to spread awareness about child rights and raise funds for the underprivileged.
