Anant is the President and Trustee of RHCF (Rural Health Care Foundation). As a chief functionary of the organization his role touches upon every aspect of the organization, from short and long term strategies, fundraising to overseeing of different departments – Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, HR and Communication. His efforts have helped make primary care available to over 500 villages across West Bengal. The efforts, with a focus on the quality of the service, is designed to make treatment accessible, affordable and available, and has especially helped women (60% of their patients).
RHCF started with 1 out-patient primary healthcare centre, and now has 17 centres across the West Bengal, 12 of which are in remote rural areas. It was selected by Yale University for its Global Social Entrepreneurship/India Program 2017-2018. They also have a Consultative Status with the United Nations ECOSOC.
