Kavya is doing her MBBS Final Year in Mediciti Institute of Medical Sciences. She loves writing and reading and has written some poems and articles on current affairs. In her words, she likes volunteering because “I wish to be the change that I would like to see in the world”.
MAMTA D KHATRI
Mamta is a 5 th semester student of Environmental Engineering at L. D. College of Engineering. She is volunteering in NSS (National Service Scheme) unit of her college and handling the adventure club that organises activities related to nature awareness, heritage conservation and cultural activities, supported by invincible NGO.
Raghavendra recently graduated from Malla Reddy College of Engineering. He volunteers at Youngistaan NGO because they usually cook for around 1,000 to 1,500 homeless people and not only this but they also provide with First aid, help in shifting to shelter homes, do make-overs (giving them a nice hair cut and shave), etc. He believes that every human on this planet, no matter rich or poor, is working towards fulfilling their basic needs; hence he works for Youngistaan.
Shah Kevan Kiritbhai
Shah Kevanbhai is an energetic, ambitious person who has developed a mature and responsible approach to any task that I undertake, or situation that he is presented with. As a leader he is an open-minded, friendly and resourceful project leader with a sound and optimistic outlook on all things in life.
A life time Khoji Surendra (Harsh Khanabadosh) was born in Dehradun, Uttarakhand in a lower middle class family. He started his journey by deciding not to take on his family name, when his family refused to support his studies financially, at the age of 13 and that is when; he started financing his own studies and has been doing it till now. Went on creating his own identity starting from his name.
Jyotirupa is a very independent young woman who runs a small organization in Bhubaneswar, Orissa for orphaned children. She believes that it is the people themselves who should help each other in their development and someone from amongst us should come forward to inspire and assist them and be a potential youth.
A student of Textile Engineering at L.D. College of Engineering, Senior Girls Instructor at Invincible NGO and Project Advisor of Youth Brigade, Hetali Patel has also served as Senior Under Officer in NCC (National Cadet Corps). She has also been a part of Project Sparsh, which is a platform for youth in the field of nature education and adventures. Apart from all these, she has also served as a volunteer for more than 150 camps held in Polo forest, Saputara, Jambughoda, Champaner, Dalhousie, Manali, Dunny-point, Leh-Ladakh, Valley of Flower, etc.
Pruthvi Sanjaykumar Desai
Pruthvi is a commonwealth servant, currently pursuing BE from SVIT College Valsad. He has worked in social sectors like health, environment conservation, blood donations, cleanliness programmes, tourism and adventure sports, digital literacy, programmes for mentally challenged, youth empowerment, national integration, awareness programmes for upliftment of weaker sections and much more.
Siddhant Vasantbhai Thakkar
Manoj recently completed his BE Mech. Engineering and MBA aspirant. He found the Wealth (we all live to help) Foundation in 2015. He is the brain child of this
organization and all of its activities. Wealth focuses on social awareness and kids education. Manoj is leading the organization to bring a change in our society.
Gohel Dhanik Chunibhai
Gohel is pursuing M.A. in Gujarati Literature from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar University, in Ahemdabad. He volunteers because it is not just an obligation for him but it is a passion or beyond that, which provides him with great opportunities to serve community in many ways to develop our society for a better tomorrow.
A final year student at Indian Maritime University, Ashutosh is the East India co-coordinator of the Youth school for social entrepreneurs. He is also the founder of cumenical Abil and International Institutional Organization. He volunteers because it helps him in visualizing the world which we all want to see.
A Product Manager by profession at a renowned IT company, Dhananjay has been an active volunteer holding various positions at the Rotaract Club of Mumbai Shivaji Park; in projects such as ‘Project Pehchaan’ for the past 4 years and has served as its President from July 2016 to June 2017. He has also worked with other organizations such as Teach For India, Muktajeevan foundation and Panorama.
Sunidhi Kant believes, we are the content writers of our own life choosing either our big dreams or our small challenges. She had aspirations before to pursue a different career, but Volunteering managed to draw her into the social space. And she found and chose her very own dream - Service to people and began her journey in pursuit to serve humanity through volunteering in 2012 discovering how easy it was to make on ground difference.
Abhishek does volunteering because he has the opportunity to and an amazing platform to serve the society in some way or the other. He has been a part of several volunteering activities one of them being the ‘Cooking and Feeding’ initiative carried out by Youngistaan Foundation, where food packets are prepared and distributed throughout the city. He also coordinates the distribution of food packets with volunteers for maximum outreach.
Ira is an ordinary girl with an extraordinary vision of working for the welfare of the society and its people. According to her, it is essential to keep the feeling of empathy alive inside us, even though the world has a tendency to crush it. It is essential to not only teach this but also practice it, for everyday of our lives. Ira has worked with NGO’s such as Youngistaan Foundation, SHE teams and Bharosa teams in conducting workshops with a team of volunteers.
